Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie is the title of Éliphas Lévi's first published treatise on ritual magic, which appeared in two volumes between 1854 Part 1 (Dogme) and 1856 Part 2 (Rituel). The work is structured into 22 chapters, which parallel the Tarot. Lévi's Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie was translated into English by Arthur Edward Waite as Transcendental Magic, its Doctrine and Ritual (1896). A revised edition of this translation was first published in 1923.
This work has been reviewed by Jame Simpson and published as an Archan Publishing re-print. It is highly recommended for students taking their first steps on the occult path, but is also valuable reading for the more experienced practitioner.
