Planetary magick can be found in abundance in the old medieval Grimoires, together with aligned Pentacles or Talismans. These Grimoires offer a rich arena to develop your planetary power skills. Typical Grimoires include the Picatrix, the Arbatel, and the Greater Key of Solomon, which focuses on such planetary talismans. But what you need to consider is that you may also create your own powerful talismans without any reference to the old Grimoires as you wish. However, using the Grimoires as a guide, you will be aligning to the latent power that has been absorbed by these ancient symbols.
You need to consider the planets Spirit(s) or powers, for many Grimoires that deal with the practice of planetary magick, also deal with the spirits associated with those planets. Probably the most well-known of these spirits are the planetary archangels such as Michael, Gabriel, Samael. Raphael, Sachiel, Anael and Cassiel, but there are others will I will introduce you to. It should be noted that the list of planetary archangels follows the Pauline Art tradition, other minor variations are given in various Grimoires and other works on magick. Again I will list these variation later in the work.
