The Book of Sandalphon - Throne Angel

Sandalphon is a distinguished archangel within Jewish and Christian mystical traditions, often associated with elevated spiritual roles. In Kabbalistic teachings, he is considered the exalted brother of Metatron, tasked with weaving prayers into garlands and carrying them to heaven. Sandalphon is also depicted as overseeing the celestial music and remains a towering figure whose form surpasses that of most angels in divine stature. His name may derive from Greek roots signifying "co-brother" or "brother together," highlighting his interconnectedness within the heavenly hierarchy. In some accounts, Sandalphon is linked to the biblical prophet Elijah, having ascended to an angelic status post-mortem. This transformation signifies a profound synthesis between earthly origin and divine transmutation. Scholars examine his symbolic ties to childbirth and protection, recognizing him as a guardian who embodies humility despite his significant cosmic responsibilities. Such interpretations reinforce Sandalphon's multifaceted nature across theological contexts.

The origins of Archangel Sandalphon סנדלפון an archangel in Jewish and Christian writings is extremely unsure. There are several theories regarding this lack of history, out of which, the theory that he was a prophet who spread the message of love and peace, and it is this background that is most widely accepted throughout the religious community.

According to the “Talmud”, Sandalphon stands behind the Throne of Glory and continuously crowns God with a crown woven from the prayers of Israel (Chag. 13a-b). And is the leader of the angels in the angelic order of the Seraphim, It is the Seraphim that surround the throne of God in heaven.

The Archangel Sandalphon is one of the only humans who has been converted to an archangel, like the Archangel Metatron, also described as the twin-brother of Metatron, or as Metatron's female counterpart.

It is said that since Sandalphon has the experience of human beings living on earth, one of the duties that he dedicates to God is to inspire humanity to take care of the planet on which we live.
